Fly Wright Flight Center was established in January 2007 at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport. Lisa Hoffman was taking flying lessons from Bill Wright. The current flight school was going out of business and Bill couldn't stand the thought of not having a flight school at the airport. So, Bill approached Lisa about buying an airplane and opening a flight school. They looked at a few planes and none of them seemed to be the "right" one. Finally, they found a plane they both liked. The plane was purchased and the flight school was born.
Bill Wright, Bob Yaley and Babe Krinock agreed to be instructors for Fly Wright's students. These instructors have been at this airport for years! Everyone knows them and they each have a special story. Please look them up on our Instructors/Staff link to get to know them better. If you click on the "911 Connection" link, you'll see some interesting information about one of our instructors, Bill Wright.
At Fly Wright, we are committed to our students. We want to provide a comfortable atmosphere for learning, excellent instruction and safe equipment. We love the aviation industry and want to foster that enthusiasm in our students. Our facility is beautiful. We have ample parking, a large heated hangar, two floors of carpeted office space and even a kitchen!
We have monthly socials for our students and instructors and anyone who is considering learning to fly. This gives us all an opportunity to get to know each other better, talk about aviation and have a little fun! We hope you join us. Please click on the News & Events link for more information about our upcoming events.
We not only teach students how to fly, but we also rent our aircraft to existing pilots for their use. We do Introductory Flights for potential students to gauge their interest in future flight lessons. We can also take photographs for you of your business or home. We sell pilot supplies and charts. And, we even rent space to aircraft owners.
Please contact us for any additional information. We look forward to getting your head IN the clouds!
